We Believe That 1. The Bible is God's word: Inspired, infallible, and reliable. 2 Timothy 3:15; Hebrews 4:12 2.
There is one True God, eternally co-existent as Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit. Matthew. 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19 3.
Jesus Christ came and lived on earth as true God and true man. John 1:1; John 1:14; John 20:26-29 4.
Man's sin has separated him from a perfect, holy God. Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2 5.
Jesus Christ shed His blood and gave His life as a sacrifice for man's
sin; He rose bodily from the dead three days later, ascended into
Heaven, and is now reigning at the right hand of His Heavenly Father. Romans 3:23-26; Matthew 28:5-7; Acts 2:23; Acts 2:33; Luke
24:50-51 6. Salvation unto eternal life is a free gift, given to those who receive
it by genuine, repentant faith in Jesus Christ as the Savior and Lord
of their lives. Acts 3:19; Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 10:9-10 7.
The church of Jesus Christ, both local and universal, is composed of
those who have been genuinely "born-again" by the Spirit of
God, and is Christ's body and representative on earth. John 3:3-8; Matthew 16:18-19; Acts 2:40-47; 1 Corinthians 1:2;
Ephesians 8. The ordinances of the church are to be observed by believers today:
water baptism, which is an outward expression of the believer's death
to sin and resurrection to new life in Christ; and the Lord's Supper
(Communion), celebrated by eating of the bread and drinking of the cup
in remembrance of Christ's sacrifice. Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:1-4; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30 9.
The five offices of the New Testament church are: apostle, prophet,
evangelist, pastor, and teacher, and are for the training and
equipping of fellow believers for the work of the ministry. Ephesians 4:11-16 10. The baptism in the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4 is given for the
empowerment of believers to those who ask for it in faith, and is to
result in the daily infilling of one's life with the Holy Spirit of
God. 11.
The gifts of the Holy Spirit and His supernatural ministry are still
available to the church today. 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; 1 Corinthians 13:8-12; John 14:12 12. Jesus will return bodily for those who have put their faith in Him, to
meet them in the air, and be with them forever. 13. There is a resurrection for all men, both the saved and the lost; one
to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation. Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 20:11-15
